    Turbos at Saxo

    • Return
Turbos offer an increased return at the upside or at the downside in relation to their underlying asset. The maximum loss is limited to the amount invested.
    • Use
You can use turbos to diversify a portfolio, hedge a position or purely for speculation.
    • Leverage
Several levels of leverage are offered on a single underlying, which can be significant.

      What you should know

      • Knock-out
An infinite turbo’s knock-out means a total (or partial, depending on the type of turbo) loss of the amount invested.
      • Use
Turbos are only for experienced investors who are well-informed about how turbos work and closely follow price trends.
      • Fluctuation
Turbos can increase losses when price fluctuations go against the investor’s expectations, due to the effect of leverage.

        Other information

Turbos are a derivative product that let you take a position of leverage at the upside (Turbo Long) or at the downside (Turbo Short) on an underlying product like shares, indexes or commodities. They can be used for hedging, portfolio diversification or even for speculative purposes.
Risks are associated with all types of investments. It is recommended that investors be well-informed and understand how turbos work before investing on the stock market. Generally, an investment with a high return potential has greater risks. Some investments may result in a total loss of the capital invested or, for the most speculative investments, a loss even greater than the capital invested.

An investor must have a good understanding of the underlying mechanisms and the risks involved.
It is especially important to understand the following points:

        • the turbo’s high potential for variation means that investors must constantly monitor their portfolios,
        • knock-out is possible outside of Euronext Paris’s opening hours, if their underlyings are listed on another market,
        • risk of trading halts,
        • turbos do not offer a capital guarantee,
        • a turbo investor is exposed to credit risk associated with the issuer and its guarantor
